    Zinc Telluride (ZnTe) is a binary chemical compound with the formula ZnTe. This solid is a semiconductor material with a direct bandgap of 2.26 eV. It is usually a p-type semiconductor. Its Zinc telluride crystal substrate structure is cubic, like that for sphalerite and diamond.

    Zinc telluride(ZnTe) is a non-linear optical photorefractive material of possible use in the protection of sensors at visible wavelengths. ZnTe shows its unique properties to help built a light and compact systems, it also can block a high-intensity jamming beam from a laser dazzler, while still passing the lower-intensity image of the observed scene.ZnTe material offers superior photorefractive performance at wavelengths between 600–1300 nm, in comparison with other III-V and II-VI compound semiconductors.

    DIEN TECH fabricates ZnTe crystal with crystal axis <110>, which is an ideal material applied to guarantee a pulse of terahertz frequency through a nonlinear optical process called optical rectification using high-intensity light pulse of subpicosecond. Transmission at 7-12um better than 60%, wildly used in the application of laser diodes, solar cells, terahertz imaging, electro-optic detector, holographic interferometry, and laser optical phase conjugation devices.
