PPLN crystals

Periodically Poled Lithium Niobate(PPLN crystals) transprant in the range of 0.4–4.5 μm, covering visible, near-infrared and mid-infrared bands up to 3–4.5 μm. It has a very high nonlinear coefficient; the single-pass conversion efficiency of pulsed lasers can reach 80%, several times higher than KTP and LBO. Widly used in tunable OPO light sources, ultrafast spectroscopy, quantum experimental platforms, etc.

Standard doping for MgO: 5%

Product Detail

PPLN (Periodically Poled Lithium Niobate) crystal has a high nonlinear coefficien at d33≈17.3 pm/V, it is transprant in 0.4–4.5 μm, covering visible, near-infrared and mid-infrared bands up to 3–4.5 μm. PPLN was proved single-pass conversion efficiency of pulsed lasers can reach 80%, which is several times higher than KTP and LBO.

MgO-doped PPLN (MgO:PPLN) greatly elevates the damage threshold and is standard for high-power scenarios.

Applications:

· SHG (Second Harmonic Generation): Convert 1064 nm infrared to 532 nm green light, or 1550 nm to 775 nm red/blue light, for compact green lasers and fiber laser frequency doubling;

· SFG (Sum Frequency Generation);

· OPO (Optical Parametric Oscillator) / OPA (Optical Parametric Amplifier): Pumped by 1064 nm / 1550 nm lasers to generate continuously tunable mid-infrared light at 1.5–4.5 μm;

· DFG (Difference Frequency Generation);
